Anthony began his professional stand up career in early '92 and quickly found himself in the enviable position of comedy writer and performer with 2Day FM's Morning Crew where he worked for two years with Wendy Harmer and Jamie Dunn (alias Agro) writing scripts, performing character voices and comedy line writing.

His on air character was 'Captain Sydney'. A regular feature performer and MC at The Sydney Comedy Store, Anthony has toured all major circuits nationally including Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

As part of the 1995 Sydney Comedy Festival he performed live with Wendy Harmer

and American comic Emo Phillips.

Mir's style is assertive and visual. He cleverly punctuates his verbal routine with hilarious

contortions of body and face as well as character voices.

Anthony has been hosting the stand-up, comedy show 'headliners' on the Australian Comedy channel, He has also hosted "Hotline" and Tutti on SBS Televsion Australia.

Co writer and performer in the sketch comedy show "The 50 foot Show" on the Australian Comedy channel. Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, writer & performer on the

top rating 2DAY FM BREAKFAST Radio Show with Wendy Harmer. Has performed stand-up alongside Robin Williams at the Australian launch of his film 'Bi-centennial Man'.

Recently he directed his debut film "You can't Stop The Murders" which he starred in along side the cream of Australian stand up. Jimeoin, Carl Barron, The Umbilical Brothers, Gary Eck, Akmal Saleh,Richard Carter, Haskel Daniel to name only a few!

Literally anyone worth noting in the comedy industry was in his film.He has been a guest on every television show that counts (Rove, The Panel, The Glasshouse; etc)and has only just begun his international appeal!
